Descendants of *David Greenlaw

First Generation

1. *David Greenlaw was born in 1660 in Edinburg Parish, Edinburg, Midlotian, Scotland.

*David married (1) *Joan Wordy on 22 Jun 1688 in Scotland.

They had the following children:

+	2	M	i	*John Greenlaw was born about 1689.
	3	F	ii	Jannet Greenlaw [scrapbook] was christened on 24 Jan 1692 in Stratoun. [Notes]
	4	M	iii	Robert Greenlaw [scrapbook] was christened on 26 Aug 1694 in Stratoun. [Notes]

For some time now there has been confusion as to Davids marriages and children. In the baptism of John it is clear that John's
parents are David Greenlaw and Joan Wordy ( View ). As for Peter Greenlaw it can only be that he is a "Brother" to David. Both David and Peter are Wed in the same year, yet born a few years apart. Both the parents of David and Peter are being sought. In Johns record of Baptism it is noted that  a William Greenlaw and an Alexander Greenlaw were witnesses. The question is who were they?  Also note on Johns Baptism Record that the year is 1689. The John of Peter Greenlaw is christened in the year 1686. Families did not wait years to christen or baptise their children.

Interestingly enough the mystery goes on into the next generation with Baptism of Margaret Greenlaw Daughter of John Greenlaw and Elizabeth Thomsone.There are three witnesses one of which is a James Greenlaw. Where did he come from?
Previous information about the Greenlaw family makes no mention of a James Greenlaw. Is this a forgotten or missed brother or is he an Uncle?

*Peter married (1) Jonet Noire in 1688. Jonet was born in 1662 in Edinburg Parish, Edinburg, Midlotian, Scotland. Jonets last name maybe spelt NORIE.
